Conference Center open for business

Those who spoke during Monday's grand opening for Woodward Conference Center said the facility was made possible through 3 things: vision, leadership and partnership.

The architect Jim Hasenbeck said the size of the Woodward Conference Center alone allows for a variety of potential uses with its 30,000 square feet of space, which includes a banquet room that can seat 500-plus for a sit-down dinner and 3 seminar rooms that can seat 80 people each for everything from group meetings to distance learning classes.

"If you take time to look at communities across the state, buildings like these are a rarity, especially in communities Woodward's size," said Alan Case II, Chairman of the Woodward Industrial Foundation.  "That's because there are very few communities with the leadership Woodward has in its City Manager Alan Riffel, Mayor Roscoe Hill and the other city commissioners."
